Compton, End Of The Year CD - 2005
All of the work of converting to digital format organizing and then linking that information to individual family members is already done for you every year.
Our Families Roots Organization is a family organization dedicated to the preservation of our family history. This CD contains the family history information that was collected from the research and donations of family members from all over the world during the year of 2005.
The following lists the contents of the end of the year CD.
This folder contains the information that has been collected on various family members. The information includes life sketches, photos, documents, etc. Each folder is named with the custom number of that family member. Locate the "Index.pdf" file in this folder to see the family member who has been assigned that custom number. The custom number is also located in the Master PAF file, next to the family members name.
The Master PAF folder contains the latest information on family members. The file contains such information as birth, death, marriage and temple work dates. The file was created by the Personal Ancestral File Software by The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. If you don't have this software, you can download it for FREE at www.familysearch.org. By downloading this software, you will be able to access the file.
This folder contains flyers that can be printed out and handed to family members at reunions, letting them know about the family organization. The family manual is also located within this folder. Take some time to read the family manual it will help you understand how the organizations works.
This folder contains cemetery plot maps that have been collected by the family organization and converted to computer. These maps can help you locate the graves of family members. You can print them out or use them on a laptop in your car at the cemetery to zoom in on specific sections of the cemetery.
The resource folder contains information that the family organization has discovered that can help family members in their research efforts. Some of the items in this folder are lists of names and dates of people who are buried in various cemeteries.
