Lorenda Elizabeth Bronson

Lorenda Elizabeth Bronson was the daughter of Seamon and Lucy Brass Bronson. She was born December 23, 1836, at Brownstown, Wayne County, Michigan. In 1842, the family accepted the Gospel, and were baptized into the LDS Church. They came to Salt Lake City by ox team, arriving September 19, 1847. They moved to Fillmore about 1852, and lived there. On May 4, 1854, Lorenda married Daniel Thompson. In 1855, they received their Endowments at the Endowment House, in Salt Lake City. That same year, 1855, and in 1870, he organized the Relief Society there. Lorenda was called to be First Counselor. She served for thirteen years, and then was called to the Stake Presidency, June 6, 1855. She served in the Stake for 21 years. Her husband served as Bishop of Scipio for twenty years.

Lorenda Bronson Thompson died June 21, 1907. Children:

Daniel Edwin, June 1, 1855; Wilmer Donrel, April 15, 1857; Henry Bronson, March 6, 1859; Lorenda Delcina, May 1, 1861; William Riley, Feb. 26, 1863; Leman, July 9, 1865.

Isabelle, July 24, 1867; Emily, Nov. 20, 1869; Martha Ann, Oct. 9, 1871; Francis Marion, Sept. 21, 1873; Raymond, Dec. 31, 1875; Elizabeth, July 21, 1879.
