SPOUSE 111: Erastus Bingham MARRIED: 4 Apr 1852 DEATH SP: 3 May 1882 Ogden, Weber Co., Utah CHILDREN: None Patience Perkins was born in Vermont, 1783, the sixth child in a family of thirteen. Her father served in the Revolutionary War. She married Stephen Taft about 1801, and they had five children, including twin girls. After his death. she married Daniel Drake, and they had six children. They lived in Vermont at first, then moved to LeHarpe, Illinois. Here, they were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1841. In 1846, they traveled to Winter Quaters, then across the Plains with the Daniel Spencer Company, arriving in the Valley, September 24,1847. After a short time in Salt Lake and Davis County they moved to Ogden, Utah, where they lived in Brigham's Fort. Her husband died in 1851 and then she became the plural wife of Erastus Bingham. There were no children with this Patience was a faithful mother and member of the Church. She died in 1862 and is buried in the Ogden Cemetery.
