Pearl Margaret Hansen Adams Woffinden Miller

Pearl Hansen Miller was the 4th child in a family of nine, born to Richard H. Hansen and Margaret Elzator Thornton Hansen, 21 March 1900 at American Fork, Utah.

She was baptized the 13th of April 1908 by Samuel Greenwood, Her parents moved to Idaho when she was four years old but came back in 1906 so Pearl was educated in the American Fork elementary grades and High school,

Pearl assisted in the home and as she grew into her teen years she helped with the finance of sending her brothers to high school, by going out into homes where there were new babies and here she did the cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing etc, besides taking care of the mother and baby for the sum of $3.50 per week,

In her home she was taught the true value of prayer, and the importance of participation in the organizations of the church. AIl of her family were married in the temple.

She was taught the art of sewing, knitting and all kinds of handwork. The children had to take turns at the churning, turning the washing machine etc, besides helping outside in the gardening.

Pearl married Junius Henry Adams of Pleasant Grove 8 Oct, 1919 in the Salt Lake Temple, They were sad that they did not have any children of their own, so they adopted a baby girl, Lela Mae in Sept, 1931 and she was sealed to them 5 Oct 1932, Her husband died July 20th 1934,

Pearl worked to raise and educate her daughter at the W.P,A. Sewing project and then started to work on the School Lunch Program in 1938. She married Albert Woffinden for time in 30 Dec 1940 at Price, Utah, He died March 8,1947, She continued to work and her daughter met and married J. Frank Hunt, Then in August 19, 1953 she married Rollo M. Miller and helped him to raise his family that were still at home after the death of their mother, Eliza Johnson Miller. Pearl continued to work on School Lunch until she retired in 1962. She is a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
