Eva was the oldest child of Adelbert and Esther Downs York. She was born January 3, 1900 at Lindon, Utah. Her early schooling began at Sharon Elementary school and after she graduated from the eighth grade and some years at Pleasant Grove High School, she began working in a store for George Cullimore in Orem, until she meet and married Harold at the age of 18.

All the Children are married now and they are anxious to move back to Utah where most of the children reside, but of course they have many dear friends in Jerome in the Ward and Stake where they live and it would be sad parting with friends there.
