The children of W. Wayne and Gwen B. Cole will honor them for their 50th wedding anniversary.

An open house will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the Smithfield Lions Club, 120 N. 380 East, Smithfield. They request no gifts.

They were married May 1, 1940, in the Logan LDS Temple. During the first 30 years of their marriage they farmed in Whitney, Idaho. They have been active in various positions in the LDS Church.

they are enjoying their retirement in Smithfield. They also enjoy doing temple work, traveling in their recreational vehicle trailer and spoiling their grand-children.

They are parents of six daughters. They and their husbands are Glenda and Bruce Coburn, Nampa, Idaho; Joyce and Richard Shipley, Farmington; Diane and Eugene Purser, Rigby, Idaho; Bonnie and Keith Budge, Hyde Park; Marilyn and Jeny Munk, Amalga; and Sharlene and Scott Barner, Lufkin, Texas. They have 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
