Birthday For Mrs. James Moore

NINETY-ONE YEARS OLD - Mrs. James Moore, pictured above on her birthday last Saturday. 19 Soda Springs oldest lady. Still alert, Mrs. Moore has watched the parade of events in Soda Springs since she came here as a bride 72 years ago. Mrs. Moore was born in Salt Lake City and in 1881 she married James Moore. The couple came to Soda Springs and farmed acreage now covered by Alexander Lake. Mr. Moore, who served at one time as Caribou county commissioner, died 24 years ago. Mrs. Moore lives at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vern Gordon of Soda Springs, and spends much of her time crocheting. On her birthday, she was visited by a host of friends and relatives who wished her happy returns and left gifts Mrs. Moore now has one daughter (a son, Frank, died in 1922), nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
