Ogden Pair To Observe 50th Anniversary Date

Dr. and Mrs. Leland F. Tribe of 1264 27th will observe their 50th Wedding anniversary on Thursday with members of their family.

The couple was married June 17, 1926 in Morgan, and have lived their all their married life in Ogden.

Dr. Tribe was born in Ogden, a son of George H. and Elizabeth Foulger Tribe.

He attended Ogden schools, the University of Utah, and was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1918 with a DDS degree.

He practiced dentistry in Ogden for 50 years, retiring in 1972.

He served in the Army during World War 1, and was active in the Second District Dental Society.

Mrs. Tribe, the former Rose compton was born in Morgan, a daughter of George and Caroline Ager Compton.

She was graduated from Morgan High School and from business college in Ogden, after which she did secretarial work at Boyle Furniture Co. for seven years.

 

SINGING MOTHERS

Mrs. Tribe has served ln all auxiliaries of the LDS Church, and six years with the Singing Mothers. She is presently involved with the visiting teaching program of the Relief Society.

She served two terms as president of the Second District Dental Society Auxiliary.

Dr. and Mrs. Tribe has two sons, Dr. Dale L. Tribe, and Dr. A. Lee Tribe, both of Ogden, and a daughter, Mrs. LaMar W. (Carolyn) Skeen of Warren.

The couple has 14 grandchildren.
