Betty Ann Slater Thompson

WARREN - Betty Ann Slater Thompson, 81, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at her home due to complications from diabetes. She was born July 7, 1923 in Marriott, Utah to John Lawrence and Sarah Ann Tracy Slater. She married Byron H Thompson On December 16, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They enjoyed a devoted and loving relationship, working side by side for 62 years. Betty was an active member of the Warren Ward and served in various ward and stake positions. Surviving is her husband Byron and nine daughters: Karen (Kimball) Barney, June (Theo) Endrizzi, Joan (Jay) Wood, Gail (Rulon) Passey, Lois (Ron) Parry, Connie (Calvin) Keyes, Laurie (John) Sorensen, Marie (Earl) Davis, Sherri (Robert) Nelson; 41 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Blanch Gibby, Marjorie Parkinson and Venice (Leroy) Poll. Also surviving, a sister-in-law Fawn Slater; and two brothers-in-law, Delos Bingham and Steele Henrie. She was preceded in death by her son Wayne, a grandson Todd Endrizzi, her parents, and four brothers and six sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Warren Ward Chapel, 856 North 5900 West. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., and on Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Ogden City Cemetery where she will be buried next to her son, Wayne. A special thanks to the many doctors and health care workers, and to Hospice for Utah for their love and care.
