Avon T. Bingham

ROY - Avon Tubbs Bingham, returned to her Father in Heaven and her beloved husband on Saturday, March 19, 2005.

Avon was born October 3, 1922, in Ogden, the daughter of Thurman H. and Johanna "Annie" VanDyke Tubbs.

She married the love of her life, David L. Bingham, on October 21, 1942, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away July 24, 1988.

Avon was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in the Primary, Junior Sunday School and Relief Society. She also sang in various church choirs.

Surviving are two daughters and one son: Coleen Combe, Twin Falls, ID; Marlene Kennedy, Roy; David (Shonna) Bingham, Elwood, UT; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are her brothers, Roy (Marilyn) Tubbs and Richard (Ireta) Tubbs, both of Bloomington, UT; Ron (Lynn) Tubbs, Clinton; and two sisters-in-law, Leah Tubbs, Roy; Doris Tubbs, Slaterville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Thurman "Tubby" and Durlin, sister, Betty Sevy, son-in-law, Ken Kennedy, grandsons, Joseph Kennedy, Steven Kennedy, Mathiew Bingham, granddaughter, Annie Pearl Bingham, and great grandson, Tevin Kennedy.

The family would like to thank IHC Hospice for all of their love and support.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquistís Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
