April Thompson

April Thompson, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000 at age 22.

Born April 22, 1977 in Bountiful, Utah. April was the seventh child and third daughter of Darrel and Anita Cosby Thompson. She grew up in Bountiful and attended Bountiful High School graduating in 1995. She also graduated from the LDS seminary program that same year. She was employed at the Lion House in Salt Lake City for several years during high school and college. After high school, she attended Weber State University for two years and earned an associate degree. She received a CNA from Primary Children's Medical Center and worked there in the Infant ICU. She also served an internship with a consulting company in Washington, D.C. Most recently, she completed an honorable, full-time LDS mission in the England Birmingham Mission, serving from May, 1998 to December, 1999. April was a bright, cheerful person who loved to laugh and who always had a smile. She was kind to everyone and had a goodness and purity about her that all felt. She cared for others more than herself, and loved and served those around her. April worked hard in everything she did. She excelled in school, receiving high honors In high school and earning a scholarship to WSU. She loved children and especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She also Ioved music and enjoyed singing and playing the piano. April is dearly loved by her family and will be sorely missed.

April is survived by her parents, her sisters, Diana (AIan) Portzline of Bloomington, IN; Alison (Curtis) Parker of Centerville, UT; her, brothers, David (Kim) of Vacaville, CA, Dwight (Elkabeth) of Lehi, UT; Aaron (Rebecca) of Bountiful, UT: Shawn (Anna) of Salt, Lake City, UT, and Justin (who Is currently servlng a mission in Peru). She is also survived by her grandfather, J. Ashton Cosby of St. George, UT; 15 nieces and nephews, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gordon and Margaret McFarland Thompson: and Marie Duffin Cosby.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2000 at 1 p.m. at the Bountiful 31st Ward Chapel, 585 East Center. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North, Main and again Thursday morning from 11:30 -12:30 p.m. at the Church.
