OGDEN - Junius Rallison Tribe passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 19, 2002 at 97 years of age of natural causes.

Junius was born October 9, 1904 in Ogden, UT the son of Charles Joseph Tribe and Mary Ann Rallison. He attended Ogden City Schools and he served as Student Body President of Weber College where he graduated with an AA Degree and he later graduated with a BA Degree from the University of Utah. He completed a mission to the Northern States, he was a member of the General Board of the Sunday School for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he held many other church positions throughout his life.

He was the top salesman in the nation for Utah Power and Light Company in 1932 and 1933 and he owned and operated his real estate business, Junius R. Tribe Company from 1946 to 1979. He served as president of the All Faces West Committee and the Ogden Community Concert Association. He was president of the Ogden Real Estate Board and the Utah State Realty Association and he was involved in many other civic and community organizations.

He married Alberta Miriam Stratford on June 26, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple where President David O. McKay, a close family friend, performed the ceremony. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2000. He is survived by his three children; J.R. (Lynda) Tribe of Ogden; Charlene L. (Eugene) McAndrew, San Jose, CA; and David S. (Barbara) Tribe of Ogden. 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the many friends and neighbors for their acts of kindness, especially the nurses and caregivers at the Crestwood Care Center for the tender care give to Dad these past several years. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be make to your favorite charity.

Cryptside services will be held Friday, February 22, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Aultorest Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Larkin & Sons Mortuary Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
