Olive W. Ahlstrom

Olive Ahlstrom passed away at the Tooele Nursing Home. She was 94 years old. Olive was born in Kanosh, Utah. She was the daughter of Minnie Bingham and Joseph C. Whitaker. She married Leonard E. Ahlstrom, September 7, 1927 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away July 6, 1985. She loved the Relief Society and served many years in that organization. She loved visiting teaching and had to give it up at age 84. She also served with her husband as Stake Missionaries. Olive was a dedicated and loving lady, always ready to help those in need. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Charles) Palmer and son, Joseph (Marie) Ahlstrom; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; son, Leo and son-in-law, Robert Morison. Olive came from a large family of six brothers, and seven sisters. Two sisters, Laura Tichner of Salem, Utah and Georgia Stevens of Fillmore, Utah, survive her. Funeral services will be held Tues., Oct 28, 2 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Mortuary and one hour prior to services. Burial will be at the Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
