Aged Local Woman Dies Monday

Mrs. Martha Eliza Owens White, age 90, of 815 South Second West, died Monday at 12:30 a.m. at the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home.

Born July 18, 1878 in Willard, she was a daughter of Owen and Martha Ann Waite Owens. She was reared and educated in Willard.

She was married to Ephraim White on March 8, 1899 in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died April 22, 1950.

THEY MADE THEIR home in Lund, Idaho, later returning to Willard, where she resided until 1950, when she moved to Brigham City.

An active member of the LDS church, she had served as president of the YWMIA and of the Relief society She was a member of the Willard ward choir for 54 years.

SURVIVING ARE four daughters and one son, Mrs. Leone W. Boothe and Mrs. Doril W. Horsley, both of Brigham City; Mrs. C W. (Agnes) Anderson, Salt Lake City - Mrs. Erma W. Hardy, Pocatello, Idaho, Virgil E. White of Orem; 11 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Brigham City Ninth LDS ward chapel with Kenneth Godfrey officiating. Interment was in the Willard Cemetery under the direction of the Harold B. Felt Funeral Home.
