Joseph Adam Fife

PRESTON, IDAHO - Joseph Adam Fife, 86, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Wallace B. Jensen Saturday after an extended illness.

Born June 15, 1868 at Riverdale, son of Joseph and Martha Bingham Fife. Married Clara Jensen Oct. 21 1896, Logan Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Resident of Franklin County the past 30 years where he engaged in farming. Prior to this he lived at Trenton, Utah for 10 years. Active in Church, served mission to England 1905 to 1907; was member of Weber Stake High Council, and served in various offices in the Church auxiliary organizations. At time of death he was a high priest in Franklin Stake Mrs. Fife died in 1921.

Survived by eight sons and daughters: Wilbur D. Fife, Jerome; Glen J. Fife, Buhl; Mrs. W. B. (Gladys) Jensen, Preston; Mrs. Reed (Jean) Stockdale, Franklin, Douglas J. Fife and Wendall N. Fife, Brigham City; Mrs. Brown (Mary) Pitcher. Cornish; Mrs. Milton (Martha) Dalley, Blackfoot; 27 Grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and 9 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday 1 p.m. in Preston First Ward by Bishop W. Dean Palmer. Friends may call at Webb Mortuary Monday afternoon and evening and Tuesday. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.
