PLAIN CITY - Mrs. Evelyn Thompson Weenig, 62, of Rt. 2 Box 654 Plain City, died Wednesday afternoon at the McKay Hospital after an extended illness.

Mrs. Weenig was born April 9, 1911, in PIain City. a daughter of Merwin and Martha Hansen Thompson.

She was married to Harry N. Weenig on Oct. 26, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She had been an actlve worker in the LDS Church and was prestdent ot the YWMIA in the Ogden 4th Ward for many years. She also taught in the MIA and Relief Society.

She was the first president ot the Dee School PTA and was a graduate of Weber College.

Surviving are her husband of Plain City; six sons and two daughters, Harry M. Weenig, Salt Lake City; Maj. Jay F. Weenig, Provo; Max T. Weenig, Conroe, Tex; Dr. Val D. Weenig, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Dr. Clair S. Weenig, San Francisco, Cali.; Lynn Weenig, Fresno, Calif.; Mrs. Janet Owens, Nampa, Idaho; 22 grandchildren.

Also survlving are her father of Plain City, two brothers and one sister. Harold M. Thompson, Warren; Norman M. Thompson, Ogden. Mrs. Don (LauRene) Buswell, North Ogden.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Plain City Ward Chapel 4461 W. 2350 N., with Bishop R. Kent Jenkins officiating.

Friends may call at the Myers Mortuary in 0gden, Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and at the Plain City Ward Chapel Monday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Burlal in the Plain City Cemetery,
