WEST WEBER - Mrs. Irene Weatherston McFarland, 79, of 1150 S. 5304 W., died Tuesday morning at her home.

Mrs. MCFarland was born Oct. 27, 1896, in Plain City a daughter of George F. and Caroline Palmer Weatherston. She was married to Thomas O. McFarland on Dec. 23, 1914, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was reared in Plain City, and had lived in West Weber since her marriage.

She had been active in auxiliares of the West Weber LDS Ward was former president of the YWMIA. She had also been a Gleaner Teacher and stake literature leader.

She was the first supervisor of the West Weber School lunch program. She was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers Camp 34.

Surviving are her husband of West Weber; three sons and one daughter, T. Glen McFarland and Mrs. Joseph H. (Carolyn) Arave, both of Ogden; George Dee McFarland, West Weber; James Virgil McFarland, Norwalk California; 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Also surving are one brother and four sisters, Harold W. Weatherston, Clearfield; Mrs. Florence Hodson, Mrs. Howard (LaVerna) Hadley, both of Plain City; Mrs. Floyd (Lucille) Picket, Ogden; Mrs. Ada Randall, North Ogden.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the West Weber Ward Chapel.

Friends may call Larkin and Sons Mortuary in Ogden Friday fdrom 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment in the West Weber Cemetery.
